Pause alcohol consumption 48 hours prior to your appointment to reduce risk of bruising. Let us know if you have any active skin infections, rashes, cold sores, or are feeling unwell. 3–5 Days Before: Discontinue retinols, retinoids, and other strong active skincare ingredients. These can increase skin sensitivity and the risk of irritation or inflammation after injections. Day Before & Day Of: Stay well hydrated—drink plenty of water. Avoid heavy exercise or heat exposure (saunas, hot tubs) 24 hours before your appointment. Come with a clean face—no makeup, lotions, or skincare products on the treatment area. Eat a light meal before your appointment to avoid feeling lightheaded. Tell your provider if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of autoimmune disease or keloid scarring.
What should I know AFTER my Sculptra appointment? To ensure the best possible results and minimize side effects, please follow these post-care instructions after your Sculptra treatment: Avoid for 24–48 Hours: Alcohol, strenuous exercise, heat exposure (hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms), facials or facial massages, heavy makeup over injection sites (for the first 24 hours). What to Expect Mild swelling, redness, or tenderness is normal and should resolve in a few days. Bruising may occur and can last up to a week. Full results develop gradually over 6–12 weeks as collagen builds. Call us if you notice: Persistent pain, hard lumps, or unevenness. Signs of infection (redness, warmth, pus, or fever). Any other concerning or unusual reactions.
