Frequently Asked Questions
HAVE QUESTIONS? WE HAVE YOU COVERED!
What is Rejuran? Rejuran is an injectable skin rejuvenation treatment made from polynucleotides (PN) derived from salmon DNA. These molecules help stimulate skin regeneration, improve elasticity, repair damaged skin, and reduce inflammation—leading to healthier, firmer, and more radiant skin over time.
How does Rejuran work? Rejuran delivers polynucleotides directly into the dermis, where they stimulate cell repair, collagen production, and tissue regeneration. This improves skin structure from the inside out—especially in areas of damage or aging.
How does Rejuran different than traditional fillers? Rejuran is not a filler or Wrinkle Relaxer. It doesn’t add volume or paralyze muscles. Instead, it focuses on skin quality and healing, making it a great complement to other injectables or treatments.
What does Rejuran treat? Rejuran is ideal for improving fine lines and wrinkles, skin texture and elasticity, acne scars and enlarged pores, redness or skin sensitivity, and improves overall skin hydration and radiance.
When will I see my Rejuran results, and how long do they last? You may notice improvements in skin hydration and texture within 1–2 weeks, with more significant changes (like firmer, smoother skin) appearing after the second or third session as collagen production increases. Best results are shown with a series of 3–4 treatments, spaced 2–4 weeks apart. Maintenance sessions every 6-8 months are recommended to sustain results.
Is Rejuran safe? Yes. Rejuran is biocompatible and has been used safely in Asia for years. The DNA used is purified and treated to eliminate immune reactions, making it well-tolerated for most skin types—even sensitive skin.
What is the downtime after a Rejuran treatment? There is minimal downtime. You may experience mild redness, swelling, or tiny injection marks for 24–48 hours. Bruising is possible but typically resolves quickly.
Can Rejuran be combined with other treatments? Absolutely. Rejuran pairs well topically with Microneedling, LaseMD Ultra, or Morpheus8 to maximum results. Your provider will create a tailored treatment strategy.
What should I know BEFORE my Rejuran appointment? To ensure the best results and minimize the risk of side effects, please follow these guidelines before your Rejuran appointment: 1 Week Before Treatment: Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements, if medically appropriate. Stop using active skincare ingredients that can increase skin sensitivity like retinols or strong active ingredients. 2–3 Days Before: Avoid alcohol and caffeine, which can increase the risk of bruising. Refrain from tanning, waxing, or any other irritating skin treatments (e.g., chemical peels, lasers) on the treatment area. Day of Treatment: Arrive with a clean face – no makeup, lotions, or SPF on the treatment area. Wear comfortable clothing and avoid tight headbands or hats that could irritate your skin post-treatment. Eat a light meal beforehand to prevent lightheadedness. Important Notes: Let your provider know if you have a history of cold sores (you may need preventive medication), are pregnant or breastfeeding, have any skin infections, rashes, or are feeling unwell.
What should I know AFTER my Rejuran appointment? Rejuran is a gentle yet powerful skin healing treatment. To maximize your results and minimize any side effects, follow these aftercare guidelines: Immediately After Treatment: Mild redness, swelling, or tiny bumps at the injection sites are normal and typically resolve within 24–72 hours. You may also notice slight bruising or tenderness, which should fade in a few days. Avoid pressing or massaging the treated areas unless instructed. Avoid for 24–48 Hours: Makeup or skincare over the treated area. Hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or intense exercise. Alcohol and caffeine, as they can increase swelling and bruising. Direct sun exposure—use a wide-brimmed hat and SPF 30+ if outdoors. Use gentle, non-active skincare products (no retinol, acids, or exfoliants) until your skin has fully healed—usually 3–5 days. Keep your skin clean and hydrated with a mild cleanser and moisturizer. Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen daily to protect your results. What to Expect: Skin may feel slightly tight, bumpy, or dry for a few days. Visible improvements typically begin within 1–2 weeks, with continued improvement over time as collagen regeneration occurs. A full treatment plan usually includes 3–4 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart.
