What is Radiesse? Radiesse is an injectable treatment that immediately restores volume and enhances facial contours while also stimulating your body’s natural collagen.
How does Radiesse work? It provides instant volume where it’s injected, helping to lift and contour. The tiny calcium-based microspheres helps to build new collagen and elastin around them over the next few month. As your natural collagen increases, your skin becomes firmer, smoother, and more supported.
What areas can Radiesse treat? It can provide lift and contouring of the jawline, chin, and cheeks. It also improves crepey skin and firmness of the neck and hands.
How soon will I see results? You’ll see immediate improvement right after the treatment and will continue to get better over the nest 6-12 weeks as your build builds new collagen, leading to a firmer, smoother skin. Full results are typically seen at 3 months.
How long does Radiesse last? Most patients enjoy results for 12–18+ months.
Is Radiesse a dermal filler? Yes- Radiesse is a dermal filler, but it’s different from traditional hyaluronic acid fillers. It can also be used as hyper dilute Radiesse, in this form it acts less like a filler and more like a skin-tightening, collagen-building treatment. This makes Radiesse both a structural filler and a biostimulatory skin rejuvenation treatment.
Who is a good candidate for Radiesse? Radiesse is ideal anyone looking to enhance facial contours, restore lost volume, or rejuvenate skin. You’re a good candidate if you’re in good overall health, want natural-looking, long lasting results, and have realistic exceptions. A consultation with our medical provider is recommended to determine fi Radiesse is right for you. It is not recommended if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or have an active skin infection in the treatment area.
How many treatments will I need of Radiesse? Many patients achieve great results with 1 session but typically 2-3 sessional are recommended for gradual improvements in skin texture and firmness.
What should I know BEFORE my Radiesse appointment? Please follow these guidelines before your appointment: Meet with our medical provider to review your goals, medical history, and determine if Radiesse is right for you. Stop or limit blood-thinning medications (like aspirin & ibuprofen) & supplements (like fish oil, vitamin E) few days prior, unless otherwise directed. This helps to reduce bruising and welling. Avoid alcohol and smoking 24–48 hours before to support optimal healing. If the area to be treated requires shaving due to hair involvement, please shave the area the evening prior to your visit, to avoid any irritation. Wear comfortable clothing, especially if treating areas like neck or chest. Day of Treatment Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup on the areas to be treated. A topical anesthetic cream will be applied prior to your procedure to minimize discomfort. Your provider will review your treatment plan prior injection. The procedure typically takes 45-60 minutes, depending on area treated.
What should I know AFTER my Radiesse appointment? Following Treatment: • Some redness, swelling, or mild bruising at injection sites are normal Slight tenderness or firmness may be felt for few days. Skin may become firmer and smoother over the next 6-12 weeks. Post Care • Keep the areas treated clean to prevent infection Apply ice packs if there’s swelling or tenderness. Avoid strenuous exercise for heat inducing activity 24-28 hours. Limit alcohol and blood-thinning medications if possible (unless prescribed) Avoid facial treatments (laser, chemical, peels, and deep facials) for 2 weeks. • Use gentle skincare for a week.
