NATURALLY

Introducing the transformative magic of Sculptra – a collagen booster injection designed to enhance your natural beauty long-term.

Sculptra is composed of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which stimulates collagen production in the skin. Rather than providing immediate volume like traditional fillers, Sculptra stimulates the body to produce its own collagen over time. This leads to a gradual and natural-looking enhancement.

FAQ

FAQ

Have questions? We got you covered!

What is Sculptra? Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable treatment that stimulates collagen production, addressing volume loss and providing a natural-looking rejuvenation effect.

How does Sculptra work? Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid, which encourages collagen production. As collagen builds up, it helps restore volume, improve skin texture, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

What areas can be treated with Sculptra? Sculptra is commonly used to treat the midface, including the cheeks and temples, to address volume loss. It can also be used to improve the appearance of smile lines (nasolabial folds) and marionette lines.

When will I see results, and how long do they last? Results are not immediate. Collagen production occurs gradually, and visible improvements usually develop over several weeks. The results can last up to two years or more.

Are there any side effects with Sculptra? Common side effects may include swelling, redness, and bruising at the injection sites. These are typically mild and temporary.

Who is an ideal candidate for Sculptra? Sculptra is suitable for individuals experiencing volume loss and seeking a non-surgical solution for facial rejuvenation. A consultation with a qualified practitioner will help determine candidacy.

What is the downtime after a Sculptra treatment? There may be minimal downtime, and most individuals can resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure.

INSTRUCTION

What should I know BEFORE my appointment? 7 DAYS BEFORE treatment, do not ingest blood thinning medications such as Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, and Aleve. If you have a cardiovascular history, please check with your doctor before stopping the use of blood thinners. AVOID herbal supplements, such as Garlic, Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, St. John’s Wort, and Omega-3 capsules. 24 HOURS BEFORE treatment, do not drink alcoholic beverages. If you have a history of Herpes or cold sores, a course of anti-viral medication before and after treatment is required. Please call our office for a prescription. Please come to the spa without make-up, creams, gels, or lotions on treatment areas. To maximize your comfort during the procedure, a topical anesthetic may be applied. To ensure a smooth and even correction, your provider may massage the area(s) treated, which may cause a temporary, minimal amount of redness to your skin.

What should I know AFTER my appointment? 24 HOURS AFTER you can resume exercise and apply makeup. AVOID extended UV exposure until any redness/swelling has subsided. Be sure to apply an SPF 30 or higher sunscreen. Depending upon the area(s) treated and product(s) used, you may feel “firmness” in the treated area(s) for 1 to 2 weeks after treatment. Over time, the area(s) will soften and “settle”. Massage the areas treated in a circular motion 5 times a day, for 5 minutes each, for 5 days after treatment. Wait a minimum of 2 weeks (or as directed by your provider) before receiving laser treatments. You may take Acetaminophen/Tylenol if you experience any mild tenderness or discomfort. You may apply an ice or cold gel pack to the area(s) treated (avoiding pressure) as this helps reduce swelling and the potential for bruising. Follow-up appointment is highly recommended 4-6 weeks after treatment for maximum results.
